Module 2: Understanding emerging markets

In this module, you will discover the concept of emerging economies by reviewing the divisions of global economies. You will learn about the advantages of emerging markets, the main characteristics that enable economies to become part of emerging markets, the size of emerging markets, the most prominent economies that belong to emerging markets around the world, the most prominent sectors towards which investments are directed in emerging markets, and the importance of emerging economies to the investment environment. Then, a comparison will be made between them and advanced economies.

Module 3: Key risks in emerging economies

This module will introduce the most prominent risks surrounding investments in emerging economies, and the concept of these risks, as a prelude to discussing risk management mechanisms in the final chapter of this course.

Module 4: How do you invest in emerging economies?

In this module, you will learn about the most prominent investment mechanisms in emerging economies by highlighting four means related to stocks, investment funds, real estate investment funds, and bonds, and the most prominent examples of each of these investment means. You will also learn about the difference between the most famous emerging market indices around the world.
